Hide apps from Launchie

Control which apps appear in Launchie, search results, and folders.

Launchie can hide apps without uninstalling them. Hidden apps disappear from the main grid, search results, and folders until you unhide them again.

Hide or unhide apps

  1. Open Launchie and go to Settings.
  2. Open Hidden Apps.
  3. Use the search field to find the app you want.
  4. Toggle the app between the Visible Apps and Hidden Apps lists.

What hiding an app does

  • removes the app from the main Launchie grid
  • removes the app from search results
  • removes the app from folder views
  • keeps the app installed on your Mac

When to use Hidden Apps

  • hide helper apps you never launch directly
  • clean up duplicate utilities or uninstallers
  • keep work or admin-only tools out of daily search results
  • If you want to organize apps into separate pages instead of hiding them, use Spaces.
  • If you want apps to appear only inside Spaces and not in Root, enable Exclusive Mode in SettingsSpaces.
