- Apps and folders now shrink and fade as they scroll in and out of view, instead of being cut off at the edge. Turn it off in Settings > Appearance > Animate Icons at Edges.
- Fixed Launchie closing whenever you closed its Settings window. The launcher now stays open and ready to type in.
- Opening and closing a folder is now a quick, clean fade instead of blending both grids on top of each other.
- Closing a folder now returns you to where you had scrolled, instead of jumping back to the top.
- Added importing your layout from macOS Launchpad, LaunchNext or LaunchOS. Your folders and app order carry over, and Launchpad's even survive the upgrade to macOS 26 or later. LaunchNext backups work too. Find it in the Getting Started guide or in Settings > Backup.
- Using Launchie at work? Settings > Feedback now links to a page where IT teams can tell us what they need for deploying Launchie across their Macs.
- Redesigned the Getting Started guide as five short steps: welcome and layout import, how Launchie opens, how you open Launchie, an introduction to Spaces, and a few tips with a look at Launchie Pro. Set your hotkey right in the guide, and see the window modes as pictures. Open it again from the ? button or Settings > General > Getting Started Guide.
- Fixed a newly recorded hotkey doing nothing after the hotkey had been cleared. It now works right away instead of after a restart.
- New installs now open Launchie with ⌥Space instead of ⌘K. Existing hotkeys stay as they are.
- Fixed switching to Maximized or Fullscreen needing two clicks. The window no longer flickers back to its windowed size after the first click.
- Fixed "Favorites" in Quick Access and the Quick Access placement options ("Pinned Above Grid", "Inside Scroll") showing in English in every language.
- Fixed the Background Image switch in Settings > Appearance spilling outside its box in languages with longer labels, like German.
- New installs start with a 80% × 80% window, and 30% background transparency and tint.
- Launchie Pro has a new purple look across the sale banner and Settings > Pro, matching the Getting Started guide.
- New Pro option to hide app names, for a grid of icons only. Folder names stay, and hovering an app shows its name. Find it in Settings > Appearance > Hide App Names.
- Hidden apps can now show up in search if you want them to, marked with a crossed-out eye. Turn it on right under the search field whenever hidden apps match, or in Settings > Hidden Apps > Show Hidden Apps in Search.
- Switching Spaces with a two-finger swipe or a drag now follows your fingers like Launchpad: the next Space slides in alongside, and letting go early springs back.
- Direct download & HomebrewThe trackpad pinch and three-finger swipe now open and close Launchie in step with your fingers, like Launchpad. Stop halfway and it waits; move back and it undoes.
- Direct download & HomebrewNew Pro option: open Launchie with the Spotlight key (F4) instead of Spotlight, like the Launchpad key used to. The Launchpad key on older keyboards works too, and Spotlight stays on ⌘Space. Find it in Settings > General > Spotlight Key.
- After an update, Launchie now shows what's new once, with the highlights that apply to your version. "Changelog" opens the full list of changes for it.
- Fixed holding Option and scrolling a mouse wheel switching Spaces only once. It now keeps moving through Spaces as long as you keep scrolling, and no longer scrolls the grid in between.
- Something not working? Settings > Feedback > Export Diagnostics… saves a report with your Mac's setup, Launchie's settings and recent log messages, and opens an email to us with the report attached. Nothing is sent until you send the email yourself.
- Fixed right-clicking an app in the List layout offering only "Add to Favorites". Apps now get the full menu (Rename, Hide, Spaces, Open in Finder, Create Folder, Send to Folder), and folders in the list get a right-click menu too.
- Fixed Launchie listing app copies from caches, containers, backups and Python environments for some users who granted folder access in an older version. Launchie now only scans your own Applications folder there, not your whole home folder.
- Fixed Quick Access flickering while you change a setting, such as dragging a slider. Apps with the same launch count kept swapping places; Most Used and Recent now keep a steady order.
- Fixed Settings > About showing an old Launchie icon. It now shows the icon of the running app.
