You can now rearrange apps within folders via drag and drop. This brings back the customization control that was lost when Apple replaced Launchpad with the limited Apps interface in macOS 26 Tahoe.
Folder icons now correctly show apps in your custom order, giving you a proper preview of what’s inside each folder.
Choose between displaying 4, 9, or 16 app icons in folder previews, allowing you to customize how much detail you see at a glance.
The settings interface has been redesigned with a more professional and unified appearance, featuring better visual hierarchy, larger window size, and improved spacing to prevent text wrapping issues.
Extended invisible hit areas to the left of icons make dropping items much easier, while direct icon dropping still works as before. A subtle visual indicator now appears when hovering over items during drag and drop operations.
